Uncle Nipper (not sure I've ever heard anyone actually call him Brian) was my fun uncle. His wit is what I'll remember him for - he was sharp, quick and quite often inappropriate but hilarious. He was a bit naughty but that only made him more relatable when we were kids. I remember being at a family wedding or party where there were bottles of wine on the table and he gave a me a lesson in sophisticated fine dining - telling me that "there's white wine, red wine and [pouring both types into the same glass] this is how you make rosé". I was probably still in primary school at that time and pretty sure I took him seriously!
